Setting up Maya Project Folders

This video is essential for handing in your work. The technique of setting up projects must be used for every project for the rest of the semester.

In this assignment you are to use primitives to block out a virtual space from a reference. Google Earth might be a good place to start if you want to create something from the real world. If you'd like to do something more imaginative go to http://conceptartworld.com/ or some other concept art sight and find an environment you like. On your website you must post a  screen capture of your environment block out in Maya and the reference you worked from underneath the YouTube link. The environment must look full of shapes and not sparse. Use primitives to layout a basic representation of your reference.
two or three references is plenty, even one ref is fine too for this assignment.

*Note for Mac or PC users, the pivot can also be accessed by hitting the "d" key (Mac users do not have an "insert" key)

At the end of this video I instruct to make a 20 second video of the final product. I have changed this to just a screen capture of your block out.
